Seven Years in Chicago: A Journey of Growth: Part I: Survival was recently included in the IngramSpark Indie Author Exhibit at the 2026 American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago.
The book was displayed prominently as part of IngramSpark’s showcase of independent titles for librarians attending the conference. According to IngramSpark, the exhibit highlighted high-quality independent content for the library market, with thousands of librarians in attendance sourcing new titles, trends, and programming ideas for their communities.
Having Seven Years in Chicago represented at ALA was especially meaningful because Chicago is central to the novel’s emotional and physical landscape. The city is more than a setting in the story. It is part of the journey.
Thank you to IngramSpark for including the book in this year’s Indie Author Exhibit.
